About the Fore Hire Foundation
The Fore Hire Foundation is a nonprofit career development organization built around a simple belief: the skills forged through collegiate and professional athletics — discipline, strategic thinking, teamwork, and performance under pressure — are highly transferable to any professional environment.
We exist to close the gap between elite athletic careers and meaningful professional ones, so no athlete has to navigate that transition alone.

To equip former athletes to successfully and confidently transition from competitive sport into meaningful careers through education, mentorship, and access to professional opportunities.

We envision a future where no athlete navigates life after sport alone, and where former athletes are equipped with the networks, confidence, and opportunities to lead in business, entrepreneurship, and beyond.
How Change Happens
Athletes who have competed at the collegiate and professional levels often face significant barriers when transitioning out of sport — including limited access to professional networks, difficulty translating athletic experience into career opportunities, financial instability, and underrepresentation in leadership roles.
Without structured support systems, many of these athletes navigate the transition alone, resulting in underemployment and an underutilization of their leadership potential.
We believe that when athletes are provided with structured career education, mentorship, professional networks, and direct access to career opportunities, they are better equipped to successfully transition into the workforce and pursue leadership roles.
Through cohort-based programming, mentorship, career development training, and strategic partnerships with employers, we support athletes in building career clarity, expanding professional networks, and gaining real-world experience.
As a result, participants secure meaningful employment, increase their confidence in navigating career pathways, and more effectively translate their athletic experience into professional success.
